The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Architectural Barriers requires that for projects with costs of $50,000 or more, a full set of construction documents must be submitted for review and inspection in accordance with Texas Government Code, Chapter 469. For determinations on whether a facility is subject to the Architectural Barriers Act, reference Administrative Rule 68.20.
ACI Consulting Architects' inspectors are licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to conduct TAS inspections in the name of the State. As per Administrative Rule 68.52 section a, the inspection needs to be completed within the first anniversary of the construction’s completion.
Our trained plan examiners perform TAS plan reviews in Houston and throughout Texas. Architects/designers or owners are required to submit their project plan for review within 20 days of the project issue. Contact us for information regarding scheduling and fees.
We can assist building owners with recommendations, and remedial design solutions, and help establish priorities with projects that we have now performed either local plan review or inspection. Reviewing standard details or drawings, when not regarding a project, can be performed on a negotiated basis.
